Capt. Ray Cardone - An Eastern Shore Veteran

Originally from Alexandria, VA, Capt. Ray moved to Virginia Beach at age 13.  He worked on a sport fishing boat during his teenage years and ran a head boat for D & M Marina in the Lynnhaven area.  Ray obtained his USCG captain's license at age 19, the minimum required age.  Capt. Cardone moved to the lower Eastern Shore and bought the Miss Jennifer in 1978.  Since then, Capt. Ray has been a fixture on the Eastern Shore Bayside accumulating more than 25 years experience as charter skipper.

Booking A Trip

Half Day Head Boat Trips

Two Daily  half day trips from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend. Spot, croaker, flounder, trout and bluefish are common on these trips.

  1. 8:00 Am to 12 Noon

  2. 1:00 PM  to 5:00 PM

  3. Bait & tackle furnished or bring your own

Purchase tickets at the Cherrystone Bait and Tackle, (757) 331-3740, or at the dock.  General Public and "walk-ons" welcome.

$32.00/adult 

$22.00 children under 13.

Hard liquor is prohibited onboard the "Miss Jennifer".  Beer is allowed if consumed in moderation!

Private Group Charters

Private group charters are available for specific species on Tues., Thurs. & Sun.

  2. Rockfish - Nov., Dec.

  3. Black Drum - May
